Herbal Basics Class
Saturday, June 17th near Coyle, Oklahoma at Saint Francis of the Woods
Saturday morning there will be a wildcrafting walk to learn to identify and prepare the herbs of the season. We will retire indoors to make salve and learn about herbs for first aid. After a potluck lunch, the afternoon will be devoted to learning to build and use a home herbal apothecary. You will learn to make basic herbal preparations such as tincture, infused vinegar, and more as well as learning about more herbs and their traditional uses.
Wildcrafting Walk---8:30-10 AM
Herbal Preparation and Materia Medica 1---10:30-11:30 AM
Herbal Preparation and Materia Medica 2---1-4 PM
Cost: $25 per person.
This class is in conjunction with the Nvwoti Weekend by Jackie Dill of Oklahoma Wildcrafting. Sunday, June 18 she will teach an advanced herbalism class. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity. To register for her event on Sunday, please visit her website.
